We also offer Hypnosis to enhance and promote positive changes in one’s life. Hypnosis is the use of focused attention and suggestion to produce changes in perception (cognition and sensation), memory and behavior. It is useful for a wide range of clinical problems and can be used in treating virtually any condition for which a psychological intervention is indicated. Although hypnosis involves an altered state of consciousness, it is done by the client and not the therapist. Clients can retain the ability to control their behavior; hypnosis becomes easier with practice.
Hypnosis can help with smoking cessation, stress management, insomnia, weight management, fears and phobias, chronic pain, child birth, athletic and academic performance.

What does acupuncture feel like?
Many people do not even notice when the fine needles are inserted. Others may feel a small pinch, tingling, numbness or warmth. Some prefer acupressure, which we also offer. During treatment, clients relax (often nap) and afterward notice relief of symptoms or feel more energetic.

Many insurance plans cover acupuncture. To find out if yours does, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. If it does cover acupuncture, please ask about the co-pay, whether you have a deductible, and if there is a limit on the number of visits you have per year.

Reiki is a safe, gentle complementary therapy that balances and engages your body’s self-healing. During a Reiki session, you lie down or sit comfortably while Reiki relaxes you. It is administered through light touch. Clients experience deep relaxation and subtle sensations during a Reiki session. It is this state of relaxation that allows the body’s self-healing potential to be released.
